Tim Rodgers
Hello, work-at-home entrepreneurs. I live in Atlanta with my beautiful wife, three teenagers, two spoiled cocker spaniels, a crazy cat, and a partridge in a pear tree. I enjoy watching sports, working out, and reading. Finally, I am waging a war against hyphen overuse. I’m coming for you, Microsoft, and Grammarly.
What Happened?
Corporate jobs, like produce, have an expiration date. Lining up potential new jobs amounted to a second job. When I left my last corporate role, I’d had enough.
I did not hate those jobs. Worse, I felt nothing. Boredom is a career killer. The blah of corporate life made me feel like Kevin Bacon in Footloose, trapped in a small town without dancing or fun.
Therefore, I decided to leave corporate America behind. Whoever coined the saying, you can’t teach an old dog new tricks never met an old dog. This hound changed. So can you.
Now What?
At first, I explored physical businesses. Quickly, I passed on them for two reasons: 1) brick-and-mortar options demand being physically present all day, and 2) they cost a lot to start. Therefore, I settled on work-from-home opportunities to maximize flexibility and avoid a second mortgage.
With newfound clarity, I researched various home-based startup concepts. My initial investigation led to a few dramatic insights. First, work-at-home entrepreneurship lacks public information. Further, when I find helpful information, it’s outdated.
Second, scams and get-rich-quick schemes dominate the marketplace. Making money from home is not complicated. However, if profits were as simple as scammers suggest, they would use these techniques to make money, not waste time selling guides.
Third, I found the advice to be vague and general. For example, use social media to market your product. Wow, that’s a great insight. Not. Details differentiate between failure and success, yet no one shares them.
Finally, no one cared if their audience succeeded. Self-proclaimed gurus have no empathy or compassion, only a desire to grab money from people who seek help.
My mission statement was born to counter these trends: Crafting entrepreneurial success from home starts here. Join our community for innovative strategies and unwavering support. I invite you to visit my Home Page to learn more about my mission. Let me be clear: I’m here to make money, but my approach differs. I commit to profit by assisting you. I promise never to sell anything or promote products without value for the work-at-home entrepreneur.
Why Listen to Me?
First, I enjoy novel things. This trait means I am comfortable jumping into almost any topic and experimenting with new technology and methods. In this space, we need to embrace constant change or fail.
Second, I pursue productivity like a bee seeks flowers. Finally, I enjoy teaching and coaching. I’m happiest when I can use my skills to assist others by breaking down complex concepts into simple ideas.
My question for you is, “Do you enjoy your work?” If yes, stick with your job. If not, slip on your dancing shoes and hit the floor with Kevin Bacon and me.
